Grand Design Lineage Series VT RV
The Grand Design Lineage is Grand Design RV's motorized product line and the brand's first move
into motorhomes after building its reputation on towables. The Lineage spans several series
rather than a single coach, covering camper vans, a Class C diesel on the Mercedes-Benz®
Sprinter chassis, and a Super C on a Ford® F600 chassis with a 6.7L Power Stroke® diesel. Across
the line, each Lineage carries the construction and detail work Grand Design is known for,
including MORryde® steel chassis upfits, laminated aluminum-framed walls with Azdel® composite,
and Firefly multiplex controls. Find more information about new and used Grand Design Lineage
floorplans available right here at Motor Home Specialist.

Grand Design Lineage VT FAQs
How much does a Grand Design Lineage cost?
Pricing depends heavily on which series you are looking at. The Class C Series M has carried an MSRP in the neighborhood of $220,000, and the Super C Series F sits above that, reflecting its heavier Ford F600 chassis, Power Stroke diesel, custom suspension, and larger lithium and solar package. Van models fall lower in the range. Nobody should pay MSRP. Motor Home Specialist offers industry-leading discount pricing on every new Grand Design Lineage for sale, well below MSRP, so you save thousands compared to other Grand Design dealers. Because the Lineage is a relatively new line, the used market is still thin, and resale pricing tends to hold closer to new than it does on longer-running models. Contact MHSRV for current pricing on in-stock units.
What are the levels of Grand Design RVs?
Grand Design organizes its lineup by type and by price tier rather than by numbered trim levels. On the towable side, Transcend is the introductory travel trailer, Imagine is the lightweight travel trailer step up, Reflection is the high-volume mid-tier offered as both a travel trailer and a fifth wheel, Influence sits above Reflection, and Solitude is the flagship extended-stay fifth wheel. Momentum covers the toy haulers, and Foundation covers destination trailers. Most of those families also carry sub-series, such as Imagine XLS, Reflection 100 Series, and Momentum G-Class, that adjust size and weight within the tier. Lineage is the motorized line and sits separately from the towables. Grand Design adds and renames series regularly, so treat any list as a snapshot and confirm the current lineup before you shop.
What is the difference between the Lineage series?
The Lineage line is split by chassis and vehicle class. The Series M is the Class C, built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4500 cab chassis with a twin-turbo four-cylinder diesel and a nine-speed automatic, which makes it the most compact and the easiest to drive and park. The Series F is the Super C, built on a Ford F600 with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel rated around 330 horsepower and 950 lb-ft of torque, with a custom suspension co-developed with LiquidSpring and Fox Racing, a much higher tow rating, and off-pavement capability. The van series are Class B camper vans and sit at the compact end of the line. Grand Design has been expanding the Lineage lineup steadily since launch, so check which series are currently available.
Who makes the Grand Design Lineage?
The Lineage is built by Grand Design RV, headquartered in Middlebury, Indiana. Grand Design was founded in 2012 and grew quickly into one of the most highly rated RV manufacturers in the industry on the strength of its towable lineup before entering the motorized market with the Lineage. Grand Design RV is a wholly owned subsidiary of Winnebago Industries, which gives the Lineage the backing of a large national dealer and service network.
Is the Grand Design Lineage a good motorhome?
The Lineage brings Grand Design's towable reputation into the motorized space, and the construction reflects it: laminated aluminum-framed sidewalls, roof, and floor with block foam insulation, Azdel composite backing, a MORryde steel chassis upfit, dual-pane acrylic windows, and rotocast storage compartments. Owners and reviewers consistently point to the fit and finish and the thoughtful storage as standouts in the segment. The two things to weigh are price and track record. The Lineage carries a premium price against comparable coaches, and because the line is still young, it does not yet have the decades of long-term reliability data that older nameplates do. For buyers who value build quality and are comfortable with a newer nameplate, it is one of the more compelling options on the market.
