American Coach American Eagle RVs For Sale

American Coach American Eagle Class A diesel pusher motorhomes for sale at Motor Home Specialist, the #1 Volume Selling Motor Home Dealer in the World and a full-line American Coach RV dealer.

The American Eagle sits one tier above the entry-level Dream in American Coach's diesel pusher lineup, with the larger Liberty Bridge® Freightliner® SL chassis, the higher-output Cummins® X15 engine on every floor plan, and an upgraded standard feature list. It's a strong fit for full-time RVers who want a long-wheelbase coach with serious towing capacity, snowbirds running annual loops between coasts, and buyers who want American Coach build quality without stepping all the way up to the Heritage, Tradition, or Allegiance tiers.

The American Eagle is built on a Liberty Bridge® integrated Freightliner® Custom Chassis SL with the Cummins® X15 engine, rated at 605 horsepower and 1,950 lb-ft of torque, paired with an Allison® 4000 Series 6-speed transmission with a 3-stage engine brake. Every Eagle floor plan rides on a 317-inch wheelbase with a 20,000-pound front axle on 365 tires, a 74,000-pound GCWR, a 20,000-pound trailer hitch, and a 150-gallon forward fuel tank. The chassis ships standard with Freightliner® BrakeSync, the Select Drive™ premium steering system, dual-coat painted steel platform construction, and an UltraSteer tag axle that tightens the turning radius by 17 feet compared with a fixed tag and 8 feet compared with a typical passive-steer tag. House power comes from a 12.5 kW Onan® QD generator with auto generator start, and a 5.3 GPM REBEL water pump upgrade is standard.

Standard driver-assist and safety equipment for 2027 includes the FCCC® RoadWatch system, which combines automatic traction control, electronic stability control with roll stability support, adaptive cruise control, and collision mitigation with forward warning and active braking. The cockpit gets a new 20-inch single dash monitor (replacing the prior dual-monitor setup) and Enhanced Ghost Audio with transducers built into the dash. New for MY27 are wireless remotes on the power cord reel and power water hose reel, a power side-slide toll window on the Fresco driver window, redesigned electrical and battery compartments that fully enclose the batteries to create added bay storage, and a redesigned service station and wet bay with a luggage-door control panel and powered knife valves.

On the outside, the 2027 American Eagle offers twelve full-body paint packages (Capital, Covert, Fortitude, Freedom, Frontier, Gateway, Independence, Newport, Republic, Resolute, Revolt, and Terrebonne), powered push-button locks on the luggage doors with a lock/unlock button on the exterior grab bar, two power basement slide trays as standard equipment sized 25% larger per tray than the prior generation, 4.8 cu. ft. Stow N Go storage compartments standard, added exterior light strips at the rear engine grille and behind the rear upper spoiler, and a stainless-steel power entry step. Patio shading runs from a standard 19-foot 8-inch awning, with a 16-foot second awning available.

For audio and entertainment, the Eagle steps up to Klipsch® soundbars in the living area, bedroom, and exterior entertainment TV box, paired with the Enhanced Ghost Audio at the cockpit. The 45K includes a 4K LED TV in the living area, a LED Televator TV, and a fireplace with pull-out workstation. Rooftop connectivity comes standard from a Wifi Ranger™ Denali-LTE with router, and optional upgrades include a 43-inch front overhead LED TV, the Starlink Satellite System, and a cell signal booster as part of the Technology Package.

The cabin features APEX® custom residential furniture, Cambria® quartz countertops throughout, Ultraleather® upholstery, hardwood cabinetry, and a multiplex house control system that lets owners run lighting, slides, awning, and other systems from a smartphone or tablet. Four décor packages are available: Appaloosa (new for MY27), Islamorada with American Black Walnut and Chelsea cabinetry, Key Largo with Hazelnut or Imperial cabinetry in the new modern door profile, and Maybrooke (45FW exclusive) with Mindful Grey high-gloss and two-tone American Black Walnut Charcoal cabinetry. The 45K's living area centers on a free-standing dinette with credenza, a sofa, and a fireplace with LED Televator TV, with a Motion Power Lounge available as a factory option in place of the sofa. A 60-inch love seat, a sofa sleeper with queen mattress, dual recliners, and a booth dinette are also available as factory options.

The galley features a Fisher & Paykel 240V 3,400-watt induction cooktop fed through a dedicated 50-amp sub-panel, a microwave, a Cambria® quartz countertop, a Blanco® sink, and a reoriented freezer/cooler that extends past the slide box for added counter and storage room. A standard cabinet configuration without dishwasher is available as a factory option for buyers who prefer the additional storage.

For sleeping, the 45K has a rear master suite with a king-size bed, a wardrobe, and a 35-by-48-inch stackable washer and dryer at the front of the master. Klipsch® soundbars carry into the bedroom, and the APEX® residential furniture, Cambria® quartz finishes, and Ultraleather® upholstery continue from the front of the coach into the master.

Motor Home Specialist stocks the American Eagle in the 45K floor plan for the 2027 model year: a 44-foot 11-inch coach on the Freightliner® SL chassis with the Cummins® X15, a 74,000-pound GCWR, and a 20,000-pound trailer hitch.

Buyers cross-shopping the American Eagle often also consider the American Dream, which sits at the entry tier of American Coach's diesel pusher lineup, along with the Tradition, Allegiance, and Heritage at the top of the lineup. What is the American Coach American Eagle?

The American Eagle is a Class A diesel pusher motorhome built on a Liberty Bridge® integrated Freightliner® Custom Chassis SL with the Cummins® X15 diesel engine. It sits one tier above the entry-level American Dream in American Coach's lineup, with the higher-output X15 powertrain standard on every floor plan, an upgraded standard feature list, and additional décor and cabinetry options. American Coach builds the 2027 Eagle in three floor plans, and Motor Home Specialist stocks the 45K.

What chassis is the American Eagle built on?

The American Eagle is built on a Liberty Bridge® integrated Freightliner® Custom Chassis SL with the Cummins® X15 engine, rated at 605 horsepower and 1,950 lb-ft of torque, paired with an Allison® 4000 Series 6-speed transmission with a 3-stage engine brake. The chassis carries a 317-inch wheelbase, a 20,000-pound front axle on 365 tires, a 74,000-pound GCWR, a 20,000-pound trailer hitch, and a 150-gallon forward fuel tank. Freightliner® BrakeSync, the Select Drive™ premium steering system, dual-coat painted steel platform construction, and an UltraSteer tag axle are all standard equipment.

Is the American Eagle a diesel pusher?

Yes. The American Eagle is a Class A diesel pusher motorhome with the Cummins® X15 diesel engine mounted at the rear of the coach over the drive axle. Diesel pusher coaches typically offer a quieter cabin than front-engine layouts, better weight distribution for ride and handling, and higher towing capacity than typical Class A or Class C gas motorhomes, all of which apply to the Eagle's Liberty Bridge® integrated Freightliner® SL chassis.

How much can the American Eagle tow?

The American Eagle is rated to tow 20,000 pounds on every floor plan, with a 2,000-pound tongue weight rating. That covers most tow-behind vehicles owners use as a dinghy, including full-size SUVs, trucks, and small enclosed trailers.

What floor plans does the American Eagle come in?

American Coach builds the 2027 American Eagle in three floor plans: 45FW, 45J, and 45K. Motor Home Specialist stocks the American Eagle in the 45K, which features a free-standing dinette with credenza, a sofa, a fireplace with pull-out workstation and LED Televator TV, a 35-by-48-inch stackable washer and dryer at the front of the master, and a rear king-bed master suite.

What is the difference between the American Eagle and the American Dream?

Both the American Eagle and the American Dream are American Coach Class A diesel pusher motorhomes built on Liberty Bridge® integrated Freightliner® chassis. The Eagle 45K MHSRV carries and the Dream 45A MHSRV carries share the same Freightliner® SL chassis, the same Cummins® X15 engine (605 horsepower, 1,950 lb-ft torque), the same Allison® 4000 6-speed transmission, the same 74,000-pound GCWR, and the same 20,000-pound trailer hitch. The Eagle steps up with standard Klipsch® soundbars in the living area, bedroom, and exterior entertainment center, two power basement slide trays as standard equipment (the Dream's slide trays are manual standard with power optional), 4.8 cu. ft. Stow N Go storage compartments standard (optional on the Dream), Wifi Ranger™ Denali-LTE with router as standard rooftop connectivity (part of the Dream's optional Technology Package), Enhanced Ghost Audio with transducers at the cockpit, and a wider décor lineup that includes the new Appaloosa, Islamorada, Key Largo, and Maybrooke packages versus the Dream's Hearthside, Manhattan, Rendezvous, and Rockport. The Dream is also offered in a shorter 42Q floor plan on the smaller Freightliner® XCM chassis with the Cummins® L9 engine, which the Eagle does not have. The Eagle is positioned the tier above the Dream in American Coach's diesel pusher lineup.

Does the American Eagle come with safety features like adaptive cruise control?

Yes. The 2027 American Eagle comes standard with the FCCC® RoadWatch driving and safety system, which includes automatic traction control, electronic stability control with roll stability support, adaptive cruise control, and collision mitigation with forward warning and active braking. The cockpit also includes the new 20-inch single dash monitor.

Does the American Eagle come with solar?

A 330-watt solar panel is available on the Eagle through the optional Technology Package, which also adds a cell signal booster. The Wifi Ranger™ Denali-LTE with router is standard on the Eagle (it's not part of the Technology Package on this coach). A lithium battery package is also available as a separate factory option, with three GC3 batteries at 270 Ah each.

What is the bedroom like in the American Eagle?

The 45K floor plan features a rear master suite with a king-size bed, a wardrobe, Klipsch® soundbar audio carried in from the living area, and a 35-by-48-inch stackable washer and dryer at the front of the master. APEX® residential furniture, Cambria® quartz finishes, and Ultraleather® upholstery continue from the front of the coach into the bedroom.
