Moab, Utah’s Arches National Park preserves over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, like the world-famous Delicate Arch, as well as many other unusual rock formations. In some areas, the forces of nature have exposed millions of years of geologic history. The park features an extraordinary landscape of contrasting colors, landforms and textures that is unlike any other in the world. Visitors to Arches National Park can enjoy such outdoor activities as auto touring, backpacking, biking, camping, climbing, hiking, photography, and ranger-led programs. Arches is incredible for hikers, and features a wide variety of trails, ranging from easy, to moderate, to long. Easy trails include Balanced Rock, Broken Arch, Delicate Arch, Landscape Arch, Sand Dune Arch, Skyline Arch, and The Windows. Two moderate trails are the one mile (one way) long Park Avenue, and the 3.4 mile (round trip) long Tower Arch. For the long trails, you can choose from Delicate Arch, Devils Garden Primitive Loop, which is the longest in the park, Double O Arch, and the Fiery Furnace, with its labyrinth of narrow sandstone canyons. Arches can also be found at nearby Canyonlands National Park, including the very popular Mesa Arch.
A Utah RV Dealers secret, the Devils Garden Campground is located eighteen miles from the park entrance and is open year-round.
