Established in 1872, Yellowstone National Park is America's first national park. This Park is located in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho, and is home to a large variety of wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. Yellowstone National Park RV campers have 12 RV parks to choose from, including Fishing Bridge Campground, Lewis Lake Campground, Norris Campground, Tower Falls, Bridge Bay, Grant Village, Madison, Pebble Creek, Canyon, Indian Creek, Mammoth and Slough Creek Campgrounds. Each park varies in the number of sites available, the RV size accommodations, types of hookups, etc. So be sure to make considerations, such as campgrounds like the Indian Creek Campground, which offers pull through sites if you are driving a larger Class A model RV.

Yellowstone National Park is an incredible place to find world-renowned activities and attractions. Among these are Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. To help you plan your Yellowstone RV destinations, the Park is divided into 7 districts. Madison District is best known for its fly-fishing and wildlife and is located in the Lower Geyer Basin. The Old Faithful District offers views of these natural geysers, hot springs, steam vents “fumaroles” and paint pots, as well as Firehole River. The Lake District includes Yellowstone Lake, as well as fumaroles. In the Canyon District you can view bison herds in the grazing meadows of Hayden Valley, but most notably, you can find yourself overlooking the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The Norris District includes Norris Geyser basin, as well as views of the Gibbon River. The Mammoth District is home to Yellowstone Park headquarters, as well as the Mammoth Hot Springs. The seventh is the Tower/Roosevelt District, best know for its wildlife, waterfalls, such as Tower Fall, river scenes, as well as geologic evidence of past volcanic eruptions. Also, because of Yellowstone Park’s incredible preservation efforts, nearly all of the wildlife species that existed in the Park when it was first explored over 100 years ago still thrive there today.
