The Rebel is Nexus RV's 4x4 Super C diesel motorhome. It's built for buyers who want to take their coach onto forest service roads, dispersed camping spots, snow country, and bad-weather routes that 2-wheel-drive Super C platforms can't handle. It targets adventure-focused RVers, off-pavement basecamp users, and full-time RV owners who want Nexus's signature Composite Steel construction in a chassis package geared toward going where pavement ends.

Chassis, Power, and Towing

The Rebel is built on the International CV chassis or the Chevrolet Silverado 6500 chassis with a 22,000-pound GVWR and a 35,000-pound GCWR. Power comes from the 350-horsepower Duramax diesel rated at 700 lb-ft of torque, paired with the Allison 1750 Series 6-speed automatic transmission. Two 65-gallon fuel tanks (with driver's-side fill) hold 130 gallons total, and a 7-gallon DEF tank handles emissions fluid. The hitch package includes a 12,000-pound hitch with a 7-way connector. The cab includes a power driver seat, a touchscreen stereo with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OnStar connectivity, an emergency start switch, cup holders, an engine block heater, and 19.5-inch aluminum rims. Standard driver-assist tech includes Mobileye Collision Warning with Lane Departure Warning, side-view cameras, and Diamond Shield front-end paint protection.

Composite Steel Construction and Exterior

Like every Nexus coach, the Rebel uses Nexus's Composite Steel construction. A high-strength low-alloy steel cage runs throughout the coach, paired with one-piece gelcoat fiberglass sidewalls, a composite substrate, a laminated steel-framed floor, a fiberglass front cap with wings, and a one-piece wraparound fiberglass roof. Nexus rates this approach up to 72% stronger than traditional aluminum-framed RV construction. The payoff: better long-term water damage resistance, less chassis flex, better insulation, and more structural rigidity for off-pavement use.

Outside features include automotive-style radius tinted frameless windows, heated and remote mirrors, slide-out toppers throughout, fully automatic leveling jacks, deluxe 4-color body paint, a premolded rear roof transition, lighted rubber-lined galvanized trunk boxes, valve extenders, the Nautilus panel, the Winegard 360 antenna with 4G LTE Wi-Fi router, an outside shower, slam-latch side-hinge compartment doors, dual cab-over side windows, and 72.2 cubic feet of exterior storage.

Inside the Rebel

The interior runs upgraded flooring, LED lighting throughout, window treatments with night roller shades, nickel pull handles and fixtures, a flat-screen TV in the living room, a dinette booth, and a jackknife sofa (with optional theater seating in its place). The galley pairs solid-surface countertops with sink covers, a stainless steel undermount sink, and a residential faucet with sprayer. The bedroom includes a deluxe innerspring mattress and a TV. The Rebel comes in three exterior color schemes (Emerald, Azzuro, and Charcoal) and four interior decor packages (Bourbon, Adventure, Coastal, and Modern).

Power Systems

Power management includes a 6 kW diesel generator with auto-gen start and an automatic transfer switch, two 12-volt deep-cycle house batteries, a 60-amp 12-volt power converter, a 50-amp 12-volt distribution panel, a battery disconnect, a 100-watt solar panel, an electric patio awning with LED lights, an exterior security light, and an LP quick-disconnect.

The Three Rebel Floor Plans

At MHSRV, the Rebel comes in three floor plans: the 30R, the 34R, and the 35R. All three share an 8-foot 5-inch exterior width, a 12-foot 2-inch exterior height (including A/C), a 50-gallon gray tank, and a 50-gallon black tank.

The 30R measures 30 feet 11 inches long and sleeps 8. It includes a queen-bed master with a separate shower and bath, a sofa, an entertainment center, and a cab-over bunk with an optional entertainment center.

The 34R measures 34 feet 7 inches long and sleeps 8. It steps up to a king-bed master with a wardrobe and washer/dryer prep, a separate dinette and sofa layout in the living room, and an over-the-range microwave galley.

The 35R is the largest at 34 feet 11 inches long and sleeps 10. It uses a queen-bed master with a bunk bed (or optional wardrobe), a separate sofa and dinette in the living area, and a TV cabinet.

Options and Packages

Optional equipment across the Rebel lineup includes the Extreme Package (400-amp-hour lithium batteries, 800 watts of solar power, the Alpha Series grille guard, blackout wheels with all-terrain tires, and the Commandore all-terrain front bumper with LED lights), an oven, an additional 100-watt solar panel, the Nexair fan in the living room, expanded Diamond Shield paint protection, a roof ladder, theater seating in place of the jackknife sofa, the CSA seal, the Oregon and Washington State seals, and the RVIA label.
