Fleetwood Frontier RVs For Sale
Fleetwood Frontier Class A diesel pusher motorhomes for sale at Motor Home Specialist, the #1 Volume Selling Motor Home Dealer in the World and the #1 Fleetwood RV dealer in the country.
The Frontier is Fleetwood's mid-tier Class A diesel pusher. It sits between the value-priced Class A gas lineup and the premium Discovery diesel tier. It's built for buyers who want a luxury diesel pusher in the 35-to-38-foot range with AquaHot hydronic heating (no onboard propane), residential appliances, and triple-slide options for extra room. Three floor plans are offered: the 33TL, 37S, and 38RT.
Chassis and Power
Every Frontier rides on a Freightliner Custom Chassis with the Cummins 6.7L diesel. The configuration depends on floor plan. The 33TL uses the Freedom Sport setup on the XCR chassis: 340 horsepower, 700 lb-ft of torque, Allison 2,500 MH 6-speed transmission, 206-inch wheelbase, and a 33,000-pound GCWR. The 37S and 38RT use the Freedom Bridge setup on the XCM chassis: 360 horsepower, 800 lb-ft of torque, the larger Allison 3,000 MH transmission, a 242-inch wheelbase, and a 43,600-pound GCWR. All three carry a 10,000-pound hitch with a 1,000-pound tongue rating, a 100-gallon fuel tank, the V-Series suspension with V-Ride stability, BrakeSync, and standard tire pressure monitoring.
Holding tanks are the same across the lineup: 96 gallons fresh, 65 gray, and 45 black. The wedged tank design maximizes capacity within the chassis frame.
Interior and Comfort
Inside, the Frontier pairs hand-laid luxury vinyl tile flooring with residential-styled furniture by Apex Custom Furniture. All hardware and fixtures are matte black for a modern look. The galley includes a residential refrigerator, induction cooktop, and convection microwave as standard. Every floor plan sleeps on an Encore Series 72-by-80-inch king bed. The AquaHot system handles space heating and hot water from one diesel-fired unit, so there's no propane tank, lines, or safety equipment onboard. The 33TL runs the AquaHot 250D; the 37S and 38RT step up to the 400D for more heat output and longer hot-water draw.
The Three Frontier Floor Plans
The 33TL is the nimble one: 35 feet 4 inches on the shorter Freedom Sport chassis. It pairs the king bedroom with the Adap-Table dinette, a sofa with two power theater seats, a 50-by-28-inch shower with seat, an LED TV with fireplace, and 140 cubic feet of interior storage. An optional stackable washer/dryer fits the compact layout.
The 37S stretches to 38 feet 4 inches on the Freedom Bridge chassis. It adds the dual fireplace and pop-up LED TV configuration, a 38-by-30-inch shower, your choice of the optional Dream Dinette or Free Standing Dinette with Credenza, 151 cubic feet of interior storage, and 190 cubic feet of exterior storage. An optional side-by-side washer/dryer is available.
The 38RT shares the 37S's length and chassis but leads the lineup in storage at 211 cubic feet. It pairs the king bedroom with a sofa sleeper (queen mattress) and offers the optional Corner Office: a desk with drawer, hanging wardrobe, storage bench, LED TV/monitor, and overhead shelving. That makes the 38RT the work-from-home floor plan for full-timers and remote workers.
All three share a 12-foot 10-inch height, 102-inch width, and 84-inch interior ceiling. Patio awnings run 18 feet (33TL), 15 feet (37S), and 20 feet (38RT).
Décor, Paint, and Options
Three décor packages are offered: Cadet (taupe sofa, marble countertops, gray tufted backsplash), Sand Castle (camel sofa, light wood flooring, hexagon backsplash), and Silvercreek (charcoal sofa, light wood flooring, gray subway tile backsplash). Cabinetry comes in Winter Fog (white), Hazelnut (medium walnut), or Sedona (charcoal slate). Seven exterior paint schemes are offered: Matador, Nightclub, Pioneer, Riverbed, Stagecoach, Sundance, and Tomahawk.
Key options include the Connectivity Package (Wi-Fi Ranger Sky Pro with LTE, cellular booster, and a 330-watt solar panel), the Hide-A-Loft electric drop-down bed with 32-inch LED TV, the Safety Awareness Package (MobilEye collision mitigation and bedroom Safe-T-View), power theater seating, a central vacuum, a power shore cord reel, and a 90-inch full-bay slide-out tray. Fleetwood Frontier FAQs
What is the Fleetwood Frontier?
The Frontier is Fleetwood's mid-tier Class A diesel pusher, built on the Freightliner Custom Chassis platform with the rear-mounted Cummins 6.7L diesel. It comes with AquaHot hydronic heating (no onboard propane), V-Ride stability technology, hand-laid luxury vinyl tile flooring, and residential appliances. Three floor plans are offered: the 33TL, 37S, and 38RT.
What's the difference between the Frontier and the Frontier GTX?
The Frontier is the standard line: a mid-tier Class A diesel pusher in three floor plans with the AquaHot system and Freightliner chassis described on this page. The Frontier GTX is the higher-spec variant of the Frontier line for buyers who want more equipment. If you're comparing the two, your MHSRV salesperson can walk through the current-year equipment differences between the Frontier and GTX side by side.
What's the difference between the Freedom Sport and Freedom Bridge chassis?
Freedom Sport, used on the 33TL, is the shorter, lighter setup: a 206-inch wheelbase, 340 horsepower, the Allison 2,500 MH transmission, and a 33,000-pound GCWR. It suits buyers who want a more nimble diesel pusher. Freedom Bridge, used on the 37S and 38RT, is the larger setup: a 242-inch wheelbase, 360 horsepower, the Allison 3,000 MH transmission, and a 43,600-pound GCWR for the longer floor plans.
How much can the Frontier tow?
All three floor plans carry a 10,000-pound hitch with a 1,000-pound tongue rating. The 33TL has a 33,000-pound GCWR; the 37S and 38RT have a 43,600-pound GCWR. Always confirm your tow vehicle's weight against the coach's actual GCWR before towing.
What is the AquaHot system?
AquaHot is a hydronic heating system. One diesel-fired unit handles space heating and hot water, drawing from the same fuel tank that powers the engine. That removes the propane tank, lines, and safety equipment found on most Class A motorhomes. The 33TL uses the AquaHot 250D. The 37S and 38RT use the larger 400D for more heat output and longer hot-water draw.
What is The Corner Office on the 38RT?
The Corner Office is an optional workspace exclusive to the 38RT: a desk with drawer, hanging wardrobe, storage bench, LED TV/monitor, and overhead shelving. It's built for full-timers and remote workers who want a real office instead of working from the dinette. The 38RT is the work-from-home floor plan of the Frontier lineup.
Does the Frontier come with a washer and dryer or solar?
Both are optional. The 33TL takes a stackable washer/dryer to fit its compact layout; the 37S and 38RT take a side-by-side setup. Solar comes through the optional Connectivity Package, which adds a 330-watt panel along with Wi-Fi Ranger Sky Pro with LTE and a cellular booster, available on all three floor plans.
What décor and cabinetry options does the Frontier offer?
Three décor packages: Cadet, Sand Castle, and Silvercreek. Three cabinetry finishes: Winter Fog (white), Hazelnut (medium walnut), and Sedona (charcoal slate). All hardware and fixtures are matte black, and seven exterior paint schemes are offered: Matador, Nightclub, Pioneer, Riverbed, Stagecoach, Sundance, and Tomahawk.
