Zion National Park was designated in 1919 and is Utah’s oldest National Park. The Park is best known for its amazing canyons, such as The Narrows, and is divided into four main sections. Zion Canyon is noted for the Emerald Pools, Angels Landing, and Riverside Trail, otherwise known as The Narrows. Kolob Canyons offer visitors Scenic Drive, Taylor Creek, as well as the Kolob Arch. Kolob Terrace is the third main section, where you can visit The Subway and other backcountry trails. The fourth section of Zion National Park is Highway 9, which offers the attractions of The Tunnel, Canyon Overlook trail, as well as Checkerboard Mesa. The incredible scenery found in Zion was created by the Virgin River, which now serves as a natural corridor for exploring the Park. Visit other Utah RV Parks or search out other RV parks by State.

There are many RV campgrounds accessible to Zion National Park. Cedar City KOA, while not located in Zion itself, offers a great base camp for visiting the Park, and offers accommodations for big rigs and other large Class A RVs. East Zion Riverside RV Park is located just 12 miles from Zion National Park and provides full hook-ups, a seasonal outdoor pool, and guest laundry. Within the National Park itself, RV campers can enjoy South Campground or Watchman Campground, both of which provide restrooms, RV dump stations, drinking water, and utility sinks.

A great range of outdoor activities are available to Zion National Park RV campers. These activities include bicycling, birdwatching, hiking, horseback riding, photography, wildflower viewing, as well as ranger-led activities to learn more about the local animals, geology, plants, human history, and more. These Park Ranger directed programs include shuttle tours, guided hikes, daytime talks, as well as evening programs, and all of these programs are free.
