The Heritage is Midwest Automotive Designs' European-inspired luxury Mercedes-Benz® Sprinter conversion, sitting alongside the Patriot and Passage in the Midwest lineup as the design-forward variant. The Heritage shares the same chassis options, drivetrain, floor plans, and standard equipment as its sister models, but adds radius laminated cabinetry with ambient halo lighting and the much-requested roll-up screen doors. It targets buyers who want the same Midwest Automotive Designs build quality and full-feature camper conversion as the Patriot or Passage, but with the more contemporary European cabinetry aesthetic.

The Heritage is built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis with the 2.0L Inline-4 turbo diesel engine rated at 208 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, paired with the 9-speed automatic 9G-Tronic transmission. Both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations are available. Two wheelbase options are offered: the 144-inch wheelbase (overall length 19 feet 6 inches on the FD2) and the 170-inch extended wheelbase (24 feet 2 inches on the MD2 and MD4). Overall width is 96 inches, interior width is 68 inches, and interior height is 74 inches. Overall height varies by drivetrain: 9 feet 6 to 9 feet 7 inches on RWD, or 9 feet 11 inches on AWD. A 24.5-gallon diesel fuel tank handles range. The Mercedes-Benz factory warranty includes a 3-year/36,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty and a 5-year/100,000-mile drivetrain limited warranty. The Midwest Automotive Designs upfit carries a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty.

Chassis weight ratings vary by floor plan. The FD2 (144-inch) has a 9,050-pound GVWR, a 4,410-pound front axle rating, a 5,360-pound rear axle rating, and a 13,930-pound GCWR. The MD2 and MD4 (170-inch extended) have an 11,030-pound GVWR, a 4,410-pound front axle rating, a 7,720-pound rear axle rating, and a 15,250-pound GCWR. The hitch is rated at 5,000 pounds maximum towing capacity with a 500-pound nose weight rating across all three floor plans.

Belted seating capacity reflects the floor plan: the FD2 and MD2 each carry 5 belted passengers, while the MD4 carries 7 belted passengers. The MD4 adds two rear captain's chairs with swivel and slide pedestals, swivel and slide functionality, and removable rear captains for flexible seating configuration. The MD2 adds a fold-down computer and writing table for the driver. All three floor plans include driver and passenger deluxe seat covers with swivel pedestals, custom seating with seatbelts, and an interior entrance grab handle.

The Heritage is available in seven exterior color options: Obsidian Black, Arctic White, Iridium Silver, Tenorite Grey, Stone Grey, Blue Grey, and Pebble Grey. Custom paint is also available as an upgrade. Color-keyed bumpers and body moldings are standard.

The interior is what differentiates the Heritage from its Patriot and Passage sister models. The Heritage uses laminated European curved upper cabinets paired with ambient halo lighting, soft-touch automotive color-keyed walls and headliner, composite seamless flooring, coordinated door panels, and driver cabin floor mats. Roll-up screen doors are included on the side and rear of the coach. The bath is enclosed with dual-entry solid doors with portal windows and a shower curtain, and includes a solid-surface sink, a porcelain toilet, a power bath vent, and a retractable clothes line.

The galley pairs solid-surface countertops with a deep stainless steel sink, a stainless steel microwave (or convection microwave on the MD2), a coordinated front-panel refrigerator (3.5 cubic feet on the FD2 and MD4, or 7.3 cubic feet on the MD2), a True Induction cooktop (single-burner 1,750-watt on the FD2, dual-burner 1,800-watt on the MD2 and MD4), the Lagun removable table, and a power folding rear sofa bed with under-sofa storage.

Climate control runs the Gree rooftop air conditioner, the Timberline 17,000 BTU diesel and 5,000 BTU 120V combo furnace, and the Timberline tankless diesel and 120V hot water heater. Power management includes the Onan QG 2500LP 2.5 kW propane generator, a 2,000-watt Xantrex sine wave inverter and charger, a 200-watt rooftop solar charging system, an L5-30 amp shoreline plug, an LP tank (10 gallons on the FD2 or 15 gallons on the MD2 and MD4), and a Shurflo 3 GPM water pump rated at 55 PSI and 12VDC. House battery configuration depends on floor plan: the FD2 uses a single 70Ah AGM battery, while the MD2 and MD4 use a single 330Ah 8D deep-cycle AGM battery.

The optional Freedom 1080 Package replaces the standard generator, propane gas, and AGM battery setup with a fully electric powertrain. It includes 1,080Ah of Dragonfly LiFePO4 lithium batteries (four 270Ah Game Changer 3.0 modules), a 3,000-watt Xantrex sine wave inverter and charger, a high-efficiency rooftop A/C, the Timberline diesel furnace and hot water heater, an under-hood high-output 280-amp secondary alternator, and 320 watts of solar power. The Freedom 1080 Package is targeted at buyers who want extended off-grid range and the ability to operate the coach without onboard propane or a gas generator.

Audio is handled by the Alpine sound system with an Alpine amp and subwoofer, an HDMI input to the main TV, multiple 120V outlets, multiple 12V USB chargers, a rear HDTV (or front HDTV on the MD4 floor plan), digital touchscreen coach controls, overhead courtesy lighting, and the climate-controlled roof fan. Safety equipment includes smoke, propane, and carbon monoxide detectors and a fire extinguisher.

The exterior includes tinted side and rear windows, rear slider screened windows, color-keyed bumpers and body moldings, a rear hitch with wiring package, a rear backup camera system, a power awning with LED light, an LED patio light, a 120V outlet, and an HD digital air TV antenna. The All-In-One Utility Bay includes the cable TV input, the fresh water fill, an exterior shower, and a macerator pump with power gates and hose reel. Holding tank capacities depend on floor plan: the FD2 uses a 19-gallon fresh, 22-gallon gray, and 14-gallon black tank; the MD2 and MD4 step up to a 27-gallon fresh, 24-gallon gray, and 14-gallon black tank. Heating pads on the fresh and gray tanks and a Sani Flush on the black and gray tanks are standard.
